As seems to be the way it goes with my bigger artworks, I decided to redo my oldest fully painted piece and see what I could improve apon. This time I painted over the original piece instead of starting from scratch. I'm very happy with the improvement in the mane shading area.
I also did this as a kind of way to put the original version of the OC to rest, since he's been replaced by a very special pony.
I'm happy to read any comments or critique you may have.
