The extra-length comic comes a little earlier this time around! The next comic will be normal length.
And not too soon, either, because I've used just about every unique image I can possibly manage out of this scene. My demand for this dialogue nearly outpaced the supply of screencaps!
Transcript:Sapphire Shores: No need for such drama, Rares. I’ve already scouted out a fine gem field for you. With your treasure spell, you’ll have more than I need within a day.
Rarity: Mmmn… What IS this job worth to you?
Sapphire Shores: Naturally, you’ll get the gems’ value in gold. Which is a lot, I might add.
Rarity: That might cover the mining, but the dresses? And the rush deadline? Sapphire…
Sapphire Shores: C’mon, Rarity! I’ll owe you big time! You do this for me, and I’m your mare.
Rarity: I’m sorry. Future favors won’t cut it today.
Sapphire Shores: Fine, fine… I might have something. Ever heard of a pony named Dainty Dove?
Rarity: No… Can’t say I have.
Sapphire Shores: You’d like her. Modestly wealthy landowner with a clean background and a well-documented noble heritage. She just has one tiny flaw.
Rarity: What would that be?
Sapphire Shores: It’s the strangest thing! She doesn’t actually exist. Dainty Dove is just an identity, waiting for somepony to claim the papers and become her. How does that sound?
Rarity: That… You… Ohhhh…!
Sapphire Shores: Heh heh… See you in a few days, Rares.
