You would think this would be the normal for Discord. But even a chaotic being, such as himself, has standards and limits. Discord looked all around him as the entire world around him was turned upside down, literally. The streets were in the air, roads paved with bubbles, flying eyeballs, and so much more. Ponies were terrified, creatures were scattered all over the place, and everyhting was just full on chaos. And he knew exactly who was responsible for it all. "She's returned." he said firmly with a narrow gaze. He didn't know how she escaped from the moon or how she got her powers back, but he was going to be sure this would be the last time she retured.

He heard the sound of running as he turned to see Fluttershy coming to him. "Discord!" she shouted. "Fluttershy!" he exclaimed turning to her. He immidiantely scooped her up and embraced her. "Discord." she started as he said, "You're here, you're safe. Thank goodness!" She smiled at him as he quickly realized the danger they were both in. Placing her down he said, "What are you doing here?" "I knew she had returned the minute I opened my eyes to see Angel with a horn and wings and my cottage turned into a living thing!" she said with a slight shudder. "But if you know she's returned why in Equestria would you come after me?" Discord said, "If anything you need to get as far away from me as possible." "That's exactly why I came after you, I can't let you do this alone." she said firmly. "It's best you get Twilight and the rest of your friends," Discord said, "I can hold her off" "They'll already be on their way," Fluttershy said, "I'm not leaving you now." "But Fluttershy," he said with a concerned gaze as he reached out to caress her cheek, "I can't bare to see you get tampered by her like she did the last time." Fluttershy smiled slightly as she placed her hoof over his paw.

That's when the ground began to shake. The two tensed as with each foot step that was made grew louder and closer. Soon a violet looking fog began to fill the area. Discord gulped as Fluttershy looked behind him with big eyes. Slowly turning the two saw something come into view. With her cobra like mane, her claws scratching along the ground, her piercing snake-like eyes, and her tail dragging slightly along the ground as she drew closer. She chuckled as her eyes locked on Discord. "Oh Diiiiiiiisssssssyyyyyy deeeeeaaaarrrrrr~" she said as she picked up the pace. "Fluttershy, go." he said quickly. "What? No, I'm not leaving you all alone with her." she replied. "Fluttershy please," he said with a plea in his eye, "I don't want you to get hurt, she knows your the only way to get through to me and if you stay she might" He couldn't even complete the thought as Fluttershy looked at him, her eyes full of warmth. "Discord," she said softly. "DIIIISSSYYY!" came her cry again, just a few ways away from reaching them. "Go Fluttershy!" Discord said as he used his tail to grab her and push her away from him.

He scowled as he went to meet her halfway. She stopped in front of him as Discord stopped a few steps away from her. "Oh Discord," she said, "How I've missed you." "Cosmos." he said harshly, "If you don't fix this, I'll" "Ah ah now wait a minute Discord dear" she said with a snap of her fingers, zipping his mouth shut, "Although I did redecorate upon my arrival, that's not why I'm here." Unzipping his lips he said, "Than spill and put everything back to normal." She circled him saying, "Aw my big strong man, always being so defensive and ready for action." She slid her tail under his chin saying, "You can stand down now. While I'm not exactly pleased on our last meeting, there's only one thing I want: you." Discord remained the same as he said, "That's not possible, not anymore." Cosmos bursts out laughing as she said, "Oh that's a good one, you always know how to make me laugh!" "It wasn't a joke." he said in a deep voice. Her back was turned to him as she stopped laughing. "I don't think you understand, dear, but no is not an answer." "I'm sorry," Discord said, "But my mind has already been made up." It was silent for a moment. "It's that pegaus, isn't it?" she said slowly. He didn't reply. When she turned to him, he was surprised to see not anger but sympathy? She walked to him slowly saying, "Dissy, I'm not the orderly type but let's be real for just this moment, do you honestly think you have any chances with her?" He looked back at her kind of confused. "I mean she's a beautiful pony, perfect would be the word we can use. And you Dissy, you're far from perfect. You're messy, you're misplaced, you're chaotic. And that's what I love about you." Discord closed his eyes for a moment as she continued, "Perfect and chaos do not go well together, you know that. But you know what does go well together? Chaos! Face it, we were made for each other." Discord felt his chest twist in pain as he clenched his fists slightly. "Now come on, what do you say?" Cosmos said.

Discord detested the deranged woman, but sadly she was right. And if he refused she would surely terrorize this place where he has made his home. He looked down as he sighed softly in defeat. Suddenly Discord felt somehting soft brush against his side. His eyes opened to see Fluttershy walking boldly towards Cosmos. "You ma'am," Fluttershy said as she stopped a step away from Cosmos, "Are sadly mistaken." The two looked in surprise at the pegaus as she continued, "Discord has come from such a long way from where he was before. Even at that, he's far from perfect. And that doesn't bother me one bit. We may not make sense to the world around us but what matters is that we make sense with each other." Fluttershy looked back at Discord as she said, "He's opened me to a whole new world of things I would have never thought to try on my own. And it's his chaotic nature is what I love about him the most." Discord couldn't help but smile at her as Fluttershy turned back to Cosmos saying, "So to answer your question, no he doesn't have a shot with me because he's already hit this target long ago." Discord's heart exploded, internally at least. Cosmos on the other hand, her eye twitched slightly. Suddenly she erupted in purple flames as she grew in size slightly. "Well if that's the way were playing this game, than let me take out the competion right now!" Fluttershy stayed put as Discord stepped forward. He held his arms out, wrapping his tail defensivly around Fluttershy saying, "No Cosmos." "Oh that's cute, like you really think you have a chance at defending her." she scoffed. "You're not going to lay a single talon on her, I won't let you." he said with a scowl, "Get it through your head, it's over." She let out a angry cry saying, "You need me Discord! You'll never truly be reformed, inside you will always be the Lord of Chaos!" "And I'll be right there, by his side through chocolate rain and singing tea bags." Fluttershy replied. Her snake eyes shimmered as she leaped forward at them with an angry cry. Fluttershy and Discord shut there eyes tight as Discord use dhis tail to hold onto her tightly.

However a few seconds past and nothing happened. Fluttershy was the first one to open her eyes. She looked back surprised as she said, "Discord, you can open your eyes." He opened them as he looked back in shock to see Luna. "Greetings friends." she said with a bow. "Princess Luna." Fluttershy said with a bow. "I'm not used to being confused," Discord said, "Can you explain to me what just happened?" Luna chuckled slightly, "It's simple really, you're dreaming." "But what about Cosmos? How was she able to reach us?" Fluttershy asked. "She must have encountered some kind of magic or had some left and could only get back to Equestria through the dream realm," Luna said, "I sensed your Nightmare immediately and did some investigaation. Once I was able to locate her, I used my magic to rid of any magic she may had left. She is now truley imprisoned." Discord was having a hard time processing everything. "I must go now but you are no longer in danger." Luna said as she use dher magic to teleport away. Fluttershy and Discord were left there alone. They looked at one another before embracing each other. They held on to one another for a long time. When they pulled back Fluttershy softly kissed his snout. Discord smiled down at her as her rested his chin at the top of her head. The two were now cuddled up together in a beautiful garden. As the two dreamed, they were actually snuggled together in Fluttershy's cottage as the sun was beginning to rise that morning.



I FEEL LIKE I COULD HAVE WORDED THIS PIECE BETTER!!! With that thought out of the way, can I just say how much I love reading the comics. Like the IDW comics are so entertaining and they go deeper into the lore of the show. In the comics we actually SEE the Princesses doing some really awesome stuff, characters we don't get to see on the show as much such as Cheese Sandwich and Tempest Shadow, and of course this beautiful piece of work: Cosmos. If you don't know Cosmos is a female draconequus (I've re-read the comic and look on the MLP Wiki to double-check this and all it ever mentions is Cosmos to be a constellation of some sorts but we all know she's just another draconequus) from the IDW Comics Issue #75-78 and oh boy was it a wild ride! You should most definitely check it out.

Anywho I couldn't help but draw her and man she is WAY harder to draw than Discord, but I like her so much. After reading the comics I had to make a piece with our three main characters. I'll tell you this about the comic, it just confirms Fluttercord even more.
