Gosh darn ponies and flak jackets. Trying to get them to look recognisable but still fit a pony body is difficult.
His cutiemark is the Henohenomoheji, the face all his Ninja dogs sport on their coats and the face he put on the scarecrow in episode 101. I think it suits, that plus I can't think what else it would be ~ Cutiemarks kinda relate both to special talents and names.
