Kaa has been slithering around Canterlot High, wanting to cause trouble and hypnotize some students. He ends up in the library and notices a girl, Octavia Melody, sitting at one of the desks, singing a little tune. Octavia turns out to be writing down a song to perform with her cello later on, which would involve some singing as well. Kaa realizes that no one else happened to be in the library, so he had the chance to catch his new prey. Kaa decides to surprise Octavia by approaching from under the opposite side of the able she was at, leaving her immediately exposed to his hypnotic eyes. The snake coils her up as she stares, though she occasionally tries looking away in resistance. Kaa places his tail around her chin and makes her face him and see more of his spirals. Octavia eventually gives in, giving her full trust to the snake. Kaa remembers her singing from earlier and has her sing his theme as he massages her with his coils.
