With the ending to the current run of My Little Pony on the horizon, I wanted to make one last love letter to the series as a whole by exploring all the productions that came before it. I never expected a show like this to have such an impact on my life and art style when I started watching it eight years ago. So, welcome to horse week! Every day this week you can expect a new entry into this little miniseries of myself in an iteration of the series.

So here’s the first! It’s pretty incredible how far the style has evolved since the 80s but visually it started off pretty strong. The back legs are a little wonk but the bows are cute and I like how the tails were drawn.
