Back in early 2011, I was browsing through images on the front page of Deviant Art (back when their front page made more sense and was easier to navigate) and came across a picture that would be forever engrained into my head. I had already been told by someone else that the new My Little Pony show is actually pretty good and I should try it, and this picture further proved that. The nature of this silly pink pony appropriately named "Pinkie Pie" instantly got my attention. I loved how animated and expressive she looked and could already tell the character is meant to be random and hysterical. I hadn't even watched a single episode of MLPFIM yet but I already had decided that she was my favorite character, and sure enough, she ended up being just that. The artist, formerly known as AmericanNinjaX seems to still have his account up but it looks like he deleted all his art to start over or something. His MLP pics are still available to view here: www.derpibooru.org/search?q=ar…. Regardless of his decision to delete his art, I am forever grateful to him for uploading that image. I have a feeling I would have gotten into the show one way or another, but the fact that my interest peaked the moment i saw this image says a lot. I love all the Mane Six and while it may usually be hard to pick a favorite character, I think Pinkie is still my favorite through and through. Her silly antics have always put a smile on my face which means the character, although fictional, can use her Element of Harmony on people beyond the TV screen. That's how she's able to break the 4th Wall. :3

I drew the sketch for this a few hours before the finale aired. I was reminiscing about MLPFIM before I saw the last episode and I decided to remake that picture. It really jogs my memory and to think of all I've been through with this fandom and the show really warms my heart. I'm so happy I saw this picture of Pinkie and started watching that show. Even though there may not be anymore episodes coming out, let's keep the magic going with more fan creations and friendship!
