Sure, it's possible that the players might come around to being teachers to spread the mission of friendship across the world… but that's a big commitment when your characters are technically in the second major arc of your campaign, especially to be thrust upon you without permission.

Rainbow Dash: Are we – I mean, the original us – teachers in this school? I feel like that's what you've been implying.
Twilight Sparkle: Yeah, the whole "School of Friendship"…
Applejack: The fact that all the lessons seem adventurer-themed…
DM: Well… I'm gonna leave that up to you. This is years in the future and I don't really want to lock anyone into their fate. Highly likely that you were at least involved in the creation of this place, though.
Rainbow Dash: Good. I'm not retiring until my rainbow hairs are turning gray.
Pinkie Pie: Shades of gray?
Rainbow Dash: No.
Twilight Sparkle: I feel like… I still need to get better at friendship before I can teach it.
DM: I hear ya. Who knows, though? You've got plenty of time to improve.
