When Gallus was a little gryphon, his egg was found by a hen, who raised him to live like her chicks. At a young age, he was able to find his own food, usually by pecking at worms, insects, and seeds. Her owners were puzzled to find a baby gryphon living in a hen-house, and even more surprised by his odd, bright blue colour.
