Callie is the oldest of the three children of Shining and Cadence. Her dream was to be a part of the Royal Guard. She's a rather serious, calm and collected pony with a strong will and desire to protect her family and kingdom. However, she holds a darkness inside her. When Shining got cursed by King Sombra, it never got fully fixed. A part of Sombra remained hidden within him and stayed put until it transferred to his first-born child — Callie. She has a small part of Sombra's influence in her, which makes her have moodswings and dark thoughts. With time, the influence grows stronger and can turn her into a 'dark' Callie which is shown by having Sombra-like eyes.
There's more on that, but I'll explore the idea later.
