Eventually, i decided to draw Celestia and Luna again. My earlier drawings of them weren't exactly satisfactory, on technical and fashion aspects.

On my AU, there are two different fashion currents — a more traditional one, mostly based on Persian traditional costumes and present mostly in the rural zones and a modern, which resembles late 19th century fashion, mostly worn in the cities.

Given the characteristics of the setting, i decided to draw Celestia and Luna in more traditional outfits.

Also changed their manes' design again. the ethereal part now flows downward instead of going to the sides.

Also tried changing the proportions. I usually use 1:5 but since they are about 2 meters tall, that wouldn't fit in a paper, so i had to go for 1:5.5

Celestia wears the knot of her belt in the back.

Five or six days to finish this.

EDIT: fixed lighting and backdrop.
