SPOILER ALERT TO MLP S09 REDUX
This regards the midseason ending I have in mind for my version of season 9.
Inspired by one of my all-time favorite fantasy adventure games, The Legend of Spyro Trilogy, this very picture is inspired by the third, and final chapter of the exciting trilogy. More specifically, the fact that the main villain takes the heroes home, and "command center", if you will, and he transforms it into his own fortress that he hold above the most hot, intense, and anarchistic volcano ever to exist.
More specifically, (spoilers for those not familiar to the game), the main villain of the game trilogy is the corrupt Purple Dragon, Malefor. Purple Dragons in the TLoS universe are as close to gods as you can get, though a more appropriate term is that of The Avatar, as they can master more than a single element — even time itself could be manipulated by them. Unfortunately, this also means they can also tap into evil, darker magics as well, with the risk of losing themselves to that power. Malefor was the first purple dragon to be born in a thousand years, and was pretty much built up as this great messiah destined to reshape Avalor. The power, and adulation got to his head, and his ambition grew. Due to other circumstances, Malefor became wielder of all of the elements of creation, with Dark Aether as his primary power source though he never succumbed to its full influence. He attempted to destroy the world to fulfill the ancient prophecy of the Purple Dragon's role. But he was beaten before he could, and hs souls was locked away in The Well of Souls, while his essence was locked in a dimension known as Antiquity. Long story short, the games happened, and Malefor escaped Antiquity AND The Well of Souls thanks to Cynder and Spyro. While the latter where stuck in a time sleep in order to survive a cave-in, Malefor rose out of the mountain, lay siege to the sacred Dragon Temple, and took it as his own. He malformed it, and turned it into his own personal fortress before suspending it above the volcano I mentioned. Suspending the floating isle like The Dark Crystal. By the end, it was destroyed during the final showdown with Malefor.
Something VERY similar happens in the series. However, it happens early, when "The Ending of the End" takes place, it's going to be alot earlier than in the show. That's mainly because of the fact that by this time, not only has Tirek unlocked the secrets of the bell: he has unlocked the gateway to The Realm of Darkness to allow Grogar's essence and soul to pass through, and infuse itself into the centaur, and his Tiracian army is completed, and ready to wage war with Equestria. After the Legion of Darkness is enhanced by the Bewitching Bell's power, the group exposes Discord as Pseudo Grogar, with the REAL Grogar mocking him through his host, Tirek. The six villains then make their plan to divide, and conquer by going after the active threats, with their Tiracian hordes aiding them — though not before Tirek ultimately tricks the others into leaving the bell alone in order to risk not allowing any of them to steal Grogar's power (also, Discord is the Emperor's son, so his power comes from the Elder God).
Chryssy goes after Starlight, Erebus tears The Pillars of Equestria apart, Sombra again lays waste to the Crystal Empire, The Storm King aka Stormmonger tracks down Tempest, who is with Scorpan and a few others. Tirek and Grogar himself takes Cozy Glow with him to Canterlot so the three of them may subdue their enemies. He allows Cozy to deal with them first, to see how well she fares on her own (which is pretty well, considering how she managed to snag the Princesses magic with The Bell). But, of course, the mane six get the better of her, and almost steal the bell away. This is when things get really crazy.
Tirek the original takes the bell away from Cozy, just as the other members of their team arrive. They gloat, and reveal what they've been doing to divide ponykind. Before anything else can happen, however, Tirek reveals his endgame: donning the Bewitching bell after he clones himself with a mirror pool solution (i'll explain later) so that his original power doesn't go to waste, Tirek the original fully embraces his destiny, and he becomes the new Grogar of the Fourth Generation. His form being that of a Baphomet of omnipotent power. The bell is merely the anchor for him to fully manifest once his host wears it. Now, the true Grogar reveals himself, and wastes no time asserting his dominance over all villains save Tirek 2. Though assuring them that, unlike Discord, he actually did respect their power, ambition, and will to dominate, forming an Unbreakable Oath that each of them would rule their own territories as extensions of Grogar's Empire, so long as they swear loyalty, and service to him — lest they wish the loss of their lives……and souls. The pact is made, and with triumphant glee, the seven demonic fiends annihilate half of Canterlot. Dusk is given time to escape, but it's all for naught.
As soon as the group Dusk left behind is subdued, Grogar wastes no time in asserting his dominion over ALL of Equestria. He rips what's left of Canterlot out of the side of the mountain with his own magic, feeding on the mistrust, anger and fear the ponies hold against each other all the while. He then merges both the sun, and moon into a single entity: The Black Sun. An eternal eclipse of dark light bearing the ram's own silhouette as it shines over the land. Then, he causes a massive, volcanic eruption that makes a worldly shaft leading to the very heart of the world. He then goes a step further by tearing both Dusk's castle, and The Crystal Palace from the empire, and conjoining them with his own dark magic into an unholy abomination of a fortress consisting of multiple islands made from the broken city. Even the fake Grogar's lair is incorporated into this grisly fortress as its gate in the central isle. Looming above the very mountains of the world, the fortress named "New Tambelon" hangs above the mountain, suspended by magic, and the shaft of burning air and fire.
This is the heart of evil, and the fate of all Equestria unless it is stopped.
