Jewelpet Diana and Tempest Shadow are both second-in-command to their respective Big Bads (Jewelpet S1 Dian and the Storm King), have dark color schemes, can cast lightning, hit hard with physical attacks, and eventually get their masters into the fight. Diana, however, also has green explosive lasers, missile launchers, mind-control eyes, and telekinesis, managed to repeatedly dodge Ruby, Garnet, Sapphie, and Tata before launching them away with a massive explosion, and is tough enough to withstand an explosion big enough to be seen from space before crawling all the way to Dian's icy prison and freeing him.
