Artist's description from DA:
My bff Sing-A-Long, the Aerequus (pegasus, or pony of the air)

Sing is shorter than the average aerequus mare, appearing to be about the size of a small wallaby, especially because her hind legs are clearly longer than her front limbs. Her front limbs, being seated further down her torso in comparison to her wings meet the height of her hind limbs when standing but when walking must move at a different pace in order to keep up. Aerequus suck at running and instead push off the ground with their hind legs either to fly or to hop like a kangaroo. Sometimes they can do a mix of the two, especially when they are young and cannot fly yet or when weather is inclement where they make incredibly high bounds with the aid of their wings and lengthen the distance of their leaps by gliding as they fall back down to the ground. This is a very silly looking mode of transportation but is highly effective at preserving energy while moving quickly over their terrain. This is called Tromping. Sing-A-Long is very good at tromping.
Her wings are vibrantly colored and short, allowing for quick, elliptical bursts of flight with great maneuverability but average stamina. Instead of feathers, she and all other aerequus have many "fingered" skin covered wings.
She face is pointed and slender and she has excellent binocular vision. Her incisors are flat and fit together in her mouth to form a sort of internal beak for snipping and cutting. She has canines that are slightly hooked backwards for gripping fruits and prey while flying. They have high risen molars for cushing nuts and seeds. Sing-A-Long is more carnivore than omnivore, needing more fats and proteins in her system to have the energy to fly. She and her flock mostly hunt for Water Leapers, small birds, and insects while also foraging for fruits, nuts, seeds, and eggs from unattended nests.
