Sometimes, prospective changelings are abducted and assimilated at a later time in their infancy than the norm. When that happens, they retain significantly more traits from the species they once were. This particular "hybrid" nymph, for example, still has the hair and eyes of a pony. And her peers are almost as repulsed as they are confused.
