Their tragic backstories (from top to bottom):

Twilight Sparkle
When the Great Curse of Death erupted and spread all over Canterlot and Ponyville, Twilight made the ultimate sacrifice to save the day, by beaming herself into its core. Her “dead” body was never found. Twilight went to a hidden place called the Spirit Realm, where she tried to find her favorite tutor, Princess Celestia, who died during the incident. She remained in the realm for a year until she had first met a stranger who wanted to get her out.

Rainbow Dash
When Rainbow Dash saw Rarity injured, she told her that the curse is spreading to Ponyville. As the girls flew to the town fast and warned some of their friends, they helped and rescued the citizens to Sweet Apple Acres from the Great Curse of Death. But as she was carrying an injured friend of hers and got close to the barn, a sharp knife was thrust from the curse and sliced Rainbow’s left wing off. Luckily, she and Applejack safely crash-landed by the barn. Before the curse disappeared, Rainbow noticed that her Wonderbolt friends didn’t make it and her home. Now, Rainbow lives in Cloudsdale and tries to find a way to bring back her past. But not until she was about to face off with a stranger.

Rarity
When she was in Canterlot for some fashion business, she had noticed what was coming. The Great Curse of Death. Rarity cast a magic shield to block and go through the curse by saved millions of ponies in Canterlot and guiding them to the exit. But then, the curse clawed out her right eye, and its leftover parts around her eye brunt away her fur. And when she returned to Ponyville to find her friends, she witnessed her home getting destroyed by the curse. Traumatized by seeing that moment and losing her eye, she thought that her dream career might come to an end for her. And that thought feared her ever since Twilight destroyed the curse. Rarity now lived in the Castle of Friendship with Pinkie Pie as her aid until the three strangers came.

Pinkie Pie
When she was trying to save everypony in Ponyville, she was looking for her family who was coming for vacation. But when a witness told her that they were killed, Pinkie Pie felt lost in stress and anger. She thought that she now doesn’t have the talent to predict the future since her family died. She remained in the Castle of Friendship with Rarity until the three strangers came.

Fluttershy
Fluttershy didn’t notice that the Great Curse of Death was getting close to her cottage. She was having tea with her friend, Discord, and her animals. But luckily, Discord noticed what was coming. So, he used his magic to rescue Fluttershy and all her creatures. After they were about the reach shelter where everypony was heading, and a blade from the curse stabbed Discord through his heart. But as he kept his heart going, he, Fluttershy, and the animals were finally safe in the Sweet Apple Acres barn. Before he died, Discord gave his powers and advice to look after the home to his only friend he could ever know and transformed Fluttershy into a draconequus. Now, Fluttershy and her animals lived in the Chaos Realm as she fixed and stimulated the realm to fit her personal atmosphere. One year after completion, she unexpectedly went into a coma, but one stranger was about to help her wake up.

Applejack
When her friend Rainbow Dash came and warned her that a spreading curse is coming to Ponyville, she helped and rescued the citizens from the Great Curse of Death. But during her heroic work, a force of an explosion launched her into the air. She survived, landing on her back by the riverside. But her right hoof didn’t since it was dipped in the river where the curse poisoned. As Applejack got free with help from her sister, she was carried by Rainbow Dash until safely crash-landed by the barn. As the curse disappeared, she now stayed in Sweet Apple Acres in despair of losing her brother, grandmother, and what was left of her apple garden. But, everything will change when a stranger arrives.


4th column — After Therapy & Support (in EARTH form)

When Danny Williams, Morgan, and Molly Brunner came to Equestria, they helped and reunited the Mane Six by letting go of their darkness and be themselves. And when Danny thought of a plan to stop his psychology client, he presumed that he wouldn't continue the therapy alone. So, he decided to invite the Mane Six to their world and home, New York City, NY, USA. Plus, I would like to give a big thanks to PenRosa, a friend of Earthsong9405, for designing the "Earth/anthro" versions of the Mane Six.
