Unlike her elder sister Rainfall, Stardancer carried on family tradition and took interest in sport, dreaming of taking part in Equestria Games one day, much to te joy of her parents. But her attitude to tournaments differs from her mother's. While Rainbow Dash have always dreamed about being No 1, Stardance is a "pony of process", she loves taking part in sport competitions, and doesn't care much about always winning. "Focus on the journey, not the destination", "It's not the winning, it's the taking part" — these are her views on the subject. Such attitude upsets Rainbow Dash a little, though Soarin thinks that it is not a problem as long as their daughter is happy. it doesn't mean that Stardancer is a bad athlete, not at all. But winning at all cost has never been her goal.

As a person Stardancer is a positive, sunny filly, she doesn't remind much of her serious, reserved sister. But despite those differences, Stardancer adores Rainfall, seeing her as an idol and authority. It began worrying Rainbow Dash and Soarin the recent years, since they are afraid that Stardancer adopt some controversial traits of Rainfall, such as her cynicism and depression.

Talking of this topic, Rainfall actually owes Stardancer her life. During Rainfall's severe existential crisis Stardancer accidently entered her sister's room… thanks to that Rainfall was taken to hospital in time (but she began always wearing green scarf round her neck since then). It was a very traumatizing moment for entire family and Stardancer specifically but that is a story for another time.

Here you can see Stardancer preparing to take part in the "Running of the Leaves" teenage marathon. She already has a rival though — Fluttershy's daughter Snow Blossom.
STARDANCER: Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, can't believe it — my first "Running of the Leaves"! Oh, I can hardly wait the start!
RAINBOW DASH: Ha, that's the spirit, squirt. Show them all you've got!
STARDANCER: I will! You'll be proud of me!
SOARIN: Of course we'll be. Just have fun, kiddo.
RAINBOW DASH: Sure, but you know that your mom won't be disappointed if you take the 1st place…
SOARIN: Dashie, don't hover over her.
RAINFALL: Starry, don't you even see that your headband is twisted (sighs and fixes it) If I don't do this — nopony will. As usual.
STARDANCER: Thanks, sis! Do you… do you think I'm good enough to participate in "Running"?
RAINFALL: Why not? You are a good runner. you have the chance to take one of the first places.
SNOW BLOSSOM: But not the first one — it is mine!
STARDANCER: Hello, Blossom! You are here too? Great!
SNOW BLOSSOM: Yeah, yeah. So don't expect easy victory. I inherited strong legs of Apple family, all other ponies will eat my dust once the "Running" begins!
SUMMER WIND: Blossom, behave yourself! What did I tell you about such phrases?
STARDANCER: Cool! It means the competition will be fun!
SNOW BLOSSOM: Did you hear what I said? You have zero chances to win! Zero! I will be the champion!!!
STARDANCER: I wish you good luck then!
SNOW BLOSSOM: Argh!!!
FLUTTERSHY: (To Big Mac) Aww, it reminds of rivalry between Applejack and Rainbow Dash! Remember how they competed in "Running of the Leaves" back in Season 1… I mean many years ago?
BIG MAC: Eeyup.
RAINFALL: (looks at her mother's broken leg) Dad.
SOARIN: Yes?
RAINFALL: Did she try to perform Sonic Rainboom again?
SOARIN: You know your mother. She can be so stubborn sometimes that there is no way to reason her.
RAINBOW DASH: Huh?
RAINFALL: Mom, listen, everypony respect you for all those records you broke back in your days, but… seriously, you never thought that you aren't getting younger as the years go by?
RAINBOW DASH: Not this #@&% again! Do you imply again that I am getting too old?! It was just an accident!
RAINFALL: Mother…
FLUTTERSHY: Umm, I'm sorry for interrupting, but… the "Running" begins.
