It was a dark and cold night as you laid there up above the jungle floor, perched delicately upon a branch inside a tree, staring off into the dimly lit sky and the moonlight filtering through the canopy. The hour was late and soon your eyelids began to flutter, your head nodding forward as you leaned back against the bark behind you, yawning as you arms dangled limp by your side. A gentle hissing emerged from behind you, but in your dozy state you paid it no mind, some stray serpent from down below no doubt. Like silk, a smooth appendage began to slip across your lap, curling around your elbows and carefully up your arms, covering your belly with warmth. Peeling your heavy eyes open you came to meet with a pair of glowing pupils, somepony hovering infront of you, suspended by a thick tail of scale, winding off and up into the branches above. You wanted to call out, to say something or ask who they were.. but in a sense, you felt as if you already knew them, the sense of trust that could only have been built up over many months of friendship. The more his heavy coils enveloped your body the more tired you grew, those heavy muscles encircling and supporting your body, both weighing it down and providing a soft malleable sleeping spot for you to sink into. Soon you were up to your eyes in smooth brown scales, peering out past the tail and into those handsome colourful eyes. Every ring of colour pushing you further into slumber, your head slumping against the comfy muscle wrapped around your neck as he instructed you to sleep, hissing soothingly into your twitching ears. The world around you grew dark as you could hold your eyelids open no more, resting snugly in the warm scaled confines of a trustworthy snakepony, who would be sure to keep you safe and sound, knowing he is around.
