She is the result of a deliberate union fostered by the Blueblood, which Celestia supported. She hardly uses her abilities, which gives ponies the impression that she is a very incapable unicorn. Despite her calm behavior, Athena initially had a moderate level of arrogance, which combined with her solitary inclinations sometimes forced her to take the initiative, not taking into account the opinions of others.

She realizes that she is the future supreme ruler of Equestria, therefore Twilight brings up modesty in Athena, while the Blueblood frankly spoils the girl.
