Fun fact: as soon as I changed my name from ‘Pinkpastelcharms’ to ‘Patel-Charms’, I immediately decided to chuck and redesign the look of my Ponysona herself. Well, at least within the next day or two. I guess it’s true what they say- give an inch and they’ll take in mile!
While I didn’t and still don’t hate Pastel’s previously bright and colorful design, I’ve never been that attached to it. Her mane was a bit of a challenge to keep consistent and the bolder colors I used weren’t all that eye pleasing. Really, the only reason I kept it was because it was the first design I had ever drew of my Ponysona.
But the more I thought about it and the more I saw other artists drawing their Ponysonas, the more I felt I needed a change. The straw that broke the camels back was the realization that my previous design wasn’t exactly ‘Pastel’ as her name implied. And while I’m nostalgic and hate jarring changes, I try not to avoid change at the expense of growth when I feel it’s necessary.
So after messing around with a few of my favorite color shades, I settled on the freckled, spotted, creamy pink Unicorn you see before you. And for the sake of making her stand out a bit more, I added my favorite sweater (as I am very prone to getting cold. Everyone says it’s a lack of circulation and exercise, but I think it’s just my nature.) as well as a little beret which — fun fact- Pastel was originally gonna have. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever been happier with a design in my life!Love
Not to meantion, a new bio reference for my Ponysona was looooong over due. Honestly, the old one is so cringy I’m thinking about deleting it but it was the first thing i ever posted and im sentimental about such things so it’s probs gonna stay up and haunt me for the rest of my waking life.
also, sorry this one doesn’t have a lot of facts in it. I could only fit so much.Sweating a little…
