I wanted to ship the Pony of Shadows because he has a cool design and would make an interesting combination, and no one ever does anything with or talks about him, and then I thought Tirek would be the most unusual choice while still being interesting and not just some random ship like the puppeteer pony from Inspiration Manifestation X the geek pony from Putting Your Hoof Down.
