From the world of Harbinger Rising I bring you some new faces! The pony — Morning Glory — is the eldest of three FlutterMac children and her little friend — Squeakers — is an orphaned Pygmy gryphon. Curious yet?

In this new world that has had to rebuild itself after the battle in Harbinger there are a lot of new things to deal with and understand, two of which are Pygmy gryphons and jewel dragons. They are smaller and less advanced than their big and capable-of-speech cousins and are mainly seen as nothing short of pet-worthy to their kin. Which is sad and unfortunate. Squeakers was left unclaimed in the rookery when he was hatched and has since fallen in love with Glory and follows her around everywhere. Sometimes Glory takes him home with her and doesn't tell her parents (though her Papa almost always knows).

Glory got her cutie mark (a dragon egg sprouting wings) when she began interning at the rookery. It is a large space within the Coltorado Rockies where gryphon and dragon eggs are able to be kept at ideal temperatures and there are always ponies around to watch over the unhatched and keep them from danger. Glory was a natural and her talent gained her a cutie mark.

I started this a little over a month ago I believe and am only now finishing it. There were so many times where I wanted to say "screw the background!" and just go with vectors of Glory and Squeakers but I'm glad I didn't. It's not the best looking thing on the internet but I'm as pleased as I can be with my skill-level right now. I'll work my way up to harder things and hopefully they'll look better in time. But for now I am pretty proud of this piece.
