The "canon" version of Doctor Hooves and Derpy seem to be a couple, or at least very close friends.
Also, this version of Doctor Hooves is nowhere as clever or dynamic as the time traveling one, but he still manages to pull his weight and help Pinkie with the infinite time loop problem.
Derpy is still Derpy.
