Disclaimer: The title is a mashup of "April 14th" and "April Fools."

Well, Happy April 14th everybody, as the title says it all! XD

How is this day so significant, you may ask? Well, I'll tell you what, it's a life-changing day for me, and without it, I wouldn't be here typing this.

It all started on April 14th, 2015. I was 13 at the time, and this was days before I joined DA. Now, onto the relevance of that date: I was thinking about this song called Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word by Elton John at school that day, probably because 1) I originally thought of an Animal Jam music video with that song (I used to play that game) and 2) I remember it thanks to watching Rush Hour 3 days before. Later when the day was over, I was on the bus ride all the way home, and I listened to that song on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which was a cell phone I had at the time, until I got home. When I got there, I was feeling kinda depressed thanks to my unfortunate listening to the song on repeat, so I decided to watch The Big Bang Theory to cheer myself up (In case you're wondering, yes, 2015 was also the year I was obsessed with that show). However, instead of an episode that could at least humor me, I saw "The Guitarist Amplification," which is one of my least-favorite episodes of that show, not to mention one of the saddest episodes as well, especially considering that I grew up with parents who would argue right in front of me. Didn't even help that when the episode got to this scene, I started crying right away. I stopped watching the episode before it could get any worse, and for the rest of that day, I listened to Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word while doing other things until I went to sleep. Did I forget to mention that I actually bought that song on Google Play on my phone (Trust me, I actually regret spending my money on something that I don't like to this day :slump:.)?

The very next day, I was on the bus on the way to school, and I was about to listen to the song, but instead, I listened to Calvin Harris's Outside not only because I wasn't in the mood for Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, but also because I didn't want to make a huge fool of myself on the bus full of students. Just as I listened to Outside, when it got to the part where it dropped the beat, I felt an instant spark of hope in me. I got on with my day, hoping that I would never listen to Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word again.

I remember one day, which was some time after April 14th, I was bored, and because of how rough things went for me at the time, I thought that listening to Elton John's music would help me get through life. At that point, I nearly forgot about MLP, Animal Jam, FNAF, The Big Bang Theory, etc., until I stumbled upon My Little Pony speedpaint videos on YouTube. The moment I started watching them, I was fascinated with how the videos went, so as a result, I was determined to not only have a future in creativity but to also become a YouTuber as well. As a result, I started practicing digital art, and the more digital art that I made, the more I improved. I even began making new characters, especially Alyssa Rice, who would also become my main MLP OC. I also came up with many story ideas for my OCs, and planned to write them out someday.

Ever since April 14th, 2015, my life has changed drastically, and while some changes weren't so good, others gave me a sense of hope. While I may have been a fan of MLP: FiM since long before that day, I wasn't too confident in being creative until that day arrived. I even started getting into new obsessions as well throughout the years, such as Melanie Martinez, Laurel and Hardy, Linkin Park, Kingsman, etc., and whenever I got into these things, I would make OCs inspired by my experiences with them.

This is why I'll forever be grateful for April 14th, and it is a day that I'll never be able to forget I salute you!. No, this is not the day where I stopped liking Elton John, it's a day for me to celebrate hope, positivity, and creativity, even though for this year, it kinda sucks having to celebrate it while being in quarantine. Maybe someday, I might even make it a recognized holiday! Blush

So why are Destiny Blood and Vivera also in this? First off, Destiny Blood is my second main MLP OC, and not to mention I created her during my obsession with Stan Laurel which was latent at the time. Second, Vivera Belle is Destiny's friend, and since I haven't drawn much art of her, I've decided to bring her back after my obsession with Eggsy from Kingsman inspired me to draw her again (Ironically, I actually created Vivera Belle at the time when Kingsman: The Golden Circle was released in theaters.).

Yeah, there's a lot more I could say, but from now on, I'll just end it here. Sorry for that very long description, by the way Sweating a little….

I hope you enjoy, and more art will be coming soon! Love
