Rainbow hopped onto her bed, the mattress springs squeaking under weight. She sat up and stared down at her ankle brace, feeling annoyed by the mere sight of it.
4-6 weeks, Doctor Muffin Top's orders resonating in her mind, to which she simply scoffed at. Might as well be 4-6 months, she thought.
If only she had landed that bicycle kick. She wouldn't have sprained her ankle, she wouldn't be out for the rest of the soccer season, and her efforts to keep her weight down wouldn't have gone to waste.
