(Twilight): Daily panic attack about having a baby dragon who is totally dependent on me and thinks I’m his mommy while I have no idea what I’m doing and how to raise him — because I’m only 14 ? Check!
(Mod): I think she didn’t use to have this sort of reflections/anxieties when she was younger, though. The scope of her responsibilities, the emotional attachment, the “this is real” — all this hit her fairly recently.
At first, when she was 11, it was more or less — “this is a baby dragon I hatched, he thinks I’m his mom, so I’m taking care of him for now and I can study him and write down all my observations for Princess Celestia. She told me nopony raised a baby dragon before! He just sleeps all the time so it’s not that difficult to look after him, I just need to carry him around with me and feed him from time to time” — logic that changed gradually.
