Backstory: Glistening's best friend from Manehatten, she's a little energetic and enjoys running businesses that would lead to making ponies happy whether it's through food, drinks or books. She helped Glistening through her tough times in her old job and was even the one who advised her to set out across Equestria as she believed her destiny is somewhere out of Manehatten. When it was time for Glistening to leave Sunny couldn't help but feel sad to lose her best friend but knew it was best for her. Once Glistening has settled in Ponyville she remains keeping in touch with Sunny as well as visiting her as promised. Sunny has even visited Ponyville occasionally she enjoys the town so much she decided to have a second home and come by while on break, she was even made best mare for Glistening and Astral's wedding. A few months after the wedding Sunny has now moved to Ponyville entirely to take over as new manager for Ponyville's publishing company.
