Okay Rose, let's not forget the LGBTQIA shit we've been taught.
GAY HORSES!!
When is Pride? I dunno.
I celebrate it daily in my big gay heart and I barely have any concept of time anyways.
So I'm Pansexual and genderfluid. I was raised in a pretty open and caring environment though I was never open about my sexuality because unless I was interested in someone. It's not in my nature to share. I used to get questions about sexuality and gender by classmates who did know about how I identified and honestly I couldn't answer any of their questions.
My sexuality and gender is not a touchy subject. Sure my siblings tease me for it and I have had a few off-handed comments, but honestly I was bullied more for the color of my skin and the way I dressed because that was the one thing I openly had on display. I never bought the pins for myself or even went to Pride events until I left Highschool. It's odd saying this but I'm more open online.
I only know what I know about these topics from what I've learned from family members, backlash online, and finally my own research.
I will go into further detail about my characters' experience with gender and sexuality in the future. That being said, I'm not perfect and if I offend you in any way please send me a note and we can talk about it.
That being said, here are some gay horses!
Wilde Pie-Pansexual
Wilde's type is breathing. He likes people a lot and is a very open and affectionate creature.
His life revolves around meeting others and he tends to become attracted to people regardless of how they identify.
Tinker-Lesbian
Tinker is a little lesbian and she is the type to fall HARD.
She's never doubted her attraction to women and it only grows stronger as she gets older.
She has the Big Gay
Arkansas-Bi
Until his late teens, Sassy identified as hetero. He loves girls and that feeling will never fade. HOWEVER, in his late teens he fell in love with a petit stallion from Trottingham, and thus his interests began to expand. Now in his late 20s, Sassy likes stallions and mares of all shapes and sizes. Through his connection with other different people he discovered that he also loves dressing in drag. He now regularly attends shows with his uncle Big Mac.
Systole-Gay
BIG HOMO, ALWAYS HOMO. Full homo, bromo!
Sys is so flamboyantly gay and he's very proud. You will find him at Pride parades causing a scene and being the life of the party. When he was little, he felt pressure to be more masculine from Canterlot's elite society but fuck em. He's got the Big Gay and is ready to steal your man.
Allegory-Trans FtM
He was born with another name but developed dysphoria as a tween.
Internally he had a hard time coping with his gender and it made him severely uncomfortable.
He turned inward, avoided going outside, and even removed all the mirrors in his room.
Eventually he expressed his feelings to their family. The response was a little confused and lukewarm but momma Twilight and his brother Stellar Rays were there 100% to support Alle. It took his father Comet a longer time to come around as he had a lot of his own things to address and come to terms with. But he loved his son and he realized that his hesitance was hurting his relationship with the boy. I promise to address this more soon.
Overall, Allegory had a decent support system. Alle also had an ally in another family friend….Sweet Bailey.
Sweet Bailey-Trans MtF
Sweets' transition happens early in her youth.
She never considered herself to be anything but female and addressed the situation in a very straight forward and methodical manner. She read books alone and she brought books home to show her parents when she lacked the words to explain her feelings.
Sweets likes herself and was born with a decent amount of confidence. Nothing happened overnight but Sweets was a pushy little filly.
Her transition was not openly known as she had already started transitioning when she entered school. She went by female pronouns and was sure to use the odd accesory to accentuate her cutesy appearance.
In her later years she became more open to discussing her transition and even helped Astral Allegory with their dysphoria and fear.
