Personality/Background:

Suave and easygoing, Nyx is the son of Princess Luna and Twinkleshine. He puts a lot of effort into seeming laid-back to mask the anxiety he feels at the weight of the responsibilities and expectations on his shoulders as the Heir to the Moon. Nyx places a lot of value on how his attitude and presentation reflect on his parents and tends to stress himself out a lot worrying about letting other ponies down. He's very personable and has a way of engaging even the shyer ponies in a friendly conversation soon after meeting them.

Nyx inherited some of Princess Luna's dream walking abilities, although he has a much more difficult time crossing the boundary between dreams. He also occasionally experiences prophetic visions, which tend to be vague in nature and refer to anything from events in the immediate future to events that are years away. He loves watching meteor showers and wandering through the Canterlot Gardens at night, and he's good with foals, who generally aren't fazed by his bat-like appearance. However, Nyx hates loud noises; with his enhanced thestral hearing, too much noise is very overstimulating for him. He's currently dating Apollo and has a strong bond with his cousin Rubellite Tourmaline.
