Apple Bloom and Pipsqueak:
As kids, Pip had a major crush on his classmate Apple Bloom, but since she was always hanging with her best friends, he never got a chance to do much besides carry her books home with her the few times she was alone. But halfway through high school, Sweetie enrolled in an elite singing school in Canterlot and Scootaloo began spending more and more time with her boyfriend Terramar. This hit AB hard, so when Pip and Peppermint Twist offered to hang out with her, she was more than happy for their company. The trio quickly grew close, and although Pip had given up hope of ever winning AB’s heart, he was grateful to finally be friends. AB on the other hoof was slowly falling for the patchy-coated colt and his sweet, sincere charm. When she asked him to be her date for the gala, Pip fainted from the shock. Fortunately for him, he managed to keep conscious when she asked him two years later to marry her. As the soon two were hitched they settled down on their corner or their farm and got busy adding to their family. Sadly, after many tries AB was informed she had an 8% chance of carrying a foal full term, so when they finally had their miracle foal they contented themselves with raising their only son. When they’re not raising Hopper and tending to their corner of the farm, the two run a theater club for foals and teens, with Pip directing their plays and AB designing the sets and costumes.
Knee High Grasshopper
“Golly guys, do ya’ll think this is such a good idea? Oh . . Ah knew Ah should’a stayed on the farm today . . .”
Goes by: Hopper
Age: 11
Gender: Male
Residence: Ponyville
Occupation: Middle Schooler
Body type: Smaller than average, but strong for his age.
Bio:
- Hopper is an anxious foal who inherited his father’s sensitive nerves and his mother’s wild imagination. He’s pretty much scared of everything, from heights to wicker furniture, to even his own shadow.
- On top of his already skittish nature, Hopper has a major case of social anxiety. Talking to strangers makes him squeamish and the thought of a crowd is enough to make him faint. He barely engaged with his peers and didn’t make friends outside of Ty and Silver as a result.
- He’s also extremely shy around girls, mostly because they make fun of his awkward, poor social skills and poor hygiene. The only girls he’s spoken more than two words to are his five cousin mares.
- Hopper is a pretty happy fellow when left alone. He enjoys taking time to wander the farm and forests, and even has a little hollowed out tree that he turned into a fort for himself. There he keeps a stash of Robin Hoof novels, botanical and herb guides, and his mushroom and herb collection (along with a secret jar or two of Grannie’s zap apple snaps from three months ago).
- Hopper joined Ty and Silver’s duo since they were outcasts like him. While he may not be a hybrid like they are, he stands out as the only blank flank in his grade and his social awkwardness has ostracized him from them.
- The colt avoids earning his cutiemark at all cost and won’t tell anyone why. The truth is that he’s scared his only two friends will ignore him and kick him out of their trio if he’s like other foals. He thinks their “outcast” status is what bonds them together, when in reality, Ty and Silver like to hang with the little runt because he’s a fun guy and a good friend. They just never get around to telling him that.
Relationships:
- Hopper loves his mom to pieces and they generally get along well. He helps her with any odd jobs she needs down during the production of her plays, from lighting work to acting as a dummy as she tailors the costumes. She in turn is very supportive of his interest in nature and gives him all he asks for. However, she can be a bit pushy when it comes to making friends and getting his cutie mark. And although she is glad he has Ty and Silver as buddies, she’s not convinced they have the best influence on him when he comes home from one of their shenanigans covered in peanut butter.
- As for Pip, he has a tight father-son bond with Hopper. Get understand his colt's insecurities when it comes to his short height and poor social skills. Standing out is never fun, and he always encourages Hopper to not let it get to him. The two also share a love for adventure fantasies, and although Hopper can find the real thing a bit too much for his stomach and nerves, he loves to play pretend with his Pop with the props leftover from shows.
- Ty is the complete opposite of Hopper; reckless, outgoing, chilled out, and nerves of steel. Hopper is somewhat jealous of Ty’s fearlessness and confidence, tho he’d never admit it. Anytime Ty suggests diving head first into some risky scheme, Hopper always protests and as a result he often butts heads with his friend. But with Silver’s help, the arguments end quickly, although with Hopper usually losing to Ty’s ideas. Still, the two get along splendidly when playing pretend in the barn or discussing their adventure series in Hopper’s fort.
- Hopper has a stronger bond with Silver than Ty. As the oldest in the trio, Silver is more level headed and responsible than Ty, and while he usually goes along with Ty’s schemes, he tries his best to make Hopper see the fun it, or at the very least, he calms his nerves with a fail-safe plan should it go wrong. He’s also the strongest of the group, and it makes Hopper feel protected when he’s around him, which causes him to relax a bit. Silver is also more sensitive to Hopper’s feelings and insecurities than Ty and his validation means more to Hopper than Silver knows. He’s also the only other rock enthusiast that Hopper knows, although for Silver’s part, it’s more a matter of taste (literally).

First off, no, this is NOT KOP related. My summer classes have put me under a lot of stress and one of the ways I deal with stress is to draw. There's a reason I started the KOP during my senior year of highschool. So to unwind I went back drawing something that never fails to relax me: creating next gen. But I'm not starting a whole new verse or adding to my old one. This is just a one time thing I'm doing for funsies! I decided to make a kid for each of the cmc since I never got to, so here we are. I don't plan on developing them more than their bios (again, its a one time thing), but I hope you guys will still enjoy reading about them.
