Scootaloo and Terremar:

- From the moment Scootaloo became a seapony and swam suspended in water, she couldn’t get enough of it. Even after Terremar’s problem was fixed, the filly returned many times not only for the underwater experience, but also to hang out with her fascinating friend. The two spent many summer days exploring the corals and caves, and many summer nights taking in the view from Mount Aris. Naturally, the more time they spent together the more they grew to understand and connect with each other, eventually leading to budding romantic feelings. While Scootaloo didn’t like to bring their relationship up in public, in private, the two were very intimate and lovey dovey with each other. Terremar would often have nightmares of the Storm King that he would only tell Scoots about, to which she would always comfort him with a mix of cuddles and “don’t worry you’re ok and i’ll kick that monkeys butt if he comes back”. And when Scoot learned of her parents death, it was Terry’s wing that she cried into. When Scoots finished school, she knew she couldn’t move on with life without her amazing birb boyfriend. They married on top of Mount Aris and then, making promises to visit Terremar’s parents, they moved to Ponyville. Scootaloo opened up a scooter + skateboard park where she teaches her little daredevils “kid- appropriate” stunts and tricks, while Terramar is in charge of safety and tending to the emotional situations that arise when kid’s fail or create rivalries.

- Her parents were a part of the cloudsdale garrison and couldn’t give her the time she needed in the cloud city, so they sent her to live with her dad’s two sisters. They wrote often, but couldn’t visit save for Hearth’s warming and a few birthdays here and there. Scootaloo was only 17 when news of how a bad crossing with hostile griffons led to her father becoming injured and dying in the night. Her mother was never found. Fortunately, she had her aunts and her second family in the Dashes to rely on now that she was an orphan.

- Scootaloo’s inability to fly was due to her being born a premie, which delayed her wing growth. She did eventually develop full sized wings, but couldn’t fly with them very strongly and didn’t often use them, save to glide with Terramar from time to time.

- She received her cutiemark first, after entering a scooting competition and blowing away the judges with her expert skill and air defying stunts. The adrenaline, the wind, the threat of death at one wrong move- this was her passion, her purpose. Her CM appeared the moment the medal was placed around her neck: a scooter with a trail of flames behind it.

Tidal Wave

“You’re right, that Gorge does look pretty steep and those spiky rocks would probably wreck my board if I made one wrong move. But that makes it all the more exhilarating! Silver, time me, I’m sure to break my record this time!”

Goes by: Tide, Ty, T.W.

Age: 12

Gender: Male

Residence: Ponyville

Occupation: Middle Schooler

Species: Hybrid — hypony

Body type: Slightly taller than average pony height, large wings that are super strong but not agile.

Bio:

- Tidal is a well known reckless, authority-defying rascal. Danger is his middle name (or it will be once he’s old enough to add it) and he lives up to it by seeking out the most precarious places to perform his risky stunts on his board. One could say he’s an adrenaline junkie, but Ty would say he’s an “adventure seeker”.

- When Ty isn’t diving headfirst down some gorge or sewer tunnel, he’s chilled out on the couch usually playing his gamecolt. He’s actually a pretty laid back guy when he’s not out boarding and tends to be a bit lazy, especially when it comes to chores. He also takes frequent cloud naps. All that cliff jumping drains a body.

- Ty grew up looking different, with different parents, and with different heritages- all of which he’s totally cool with. Sure, there are those who point hooves or exclude him, but Ty doesn’t let them get to him. Scoots always told him to “let it roll off you like water off your wings”, and that is what he does. It’s the only thing she ever said that he listened to.

- Tidal Wave is the first hybrid the Hippogriff species has ever seen and is kind of a big deal at Mount Aris, even knowing the aging Queen Nova on a personal basis. And he totally never takes advantage of his popularity or uses his complete access of Hippogriffia to cause trouble.

- One summer spent at Mount Aris, Tidal was exploring the cracks and crevices of the mountain when he spied a young hippogriff with it’s claw stuck hanging dangerously off the ledge. Not one to shy away from danger, he rescued the chick, but in the process a rock gashed his leg which eventually scarred over. It was the coolest thing to ever happen to him.

- To reward Tidal for his ̶d̶u̶m̶b̶,̶ ̶r̶i̶s̶k̶y̶, brave act, Queen Nova rewarded him with a shell necklace. It doesn’t do anything since they can’t let their enchanted magic outside of the Hippogriff kingdom (and especially in the hands of a reckless 8 year old). But Ty doesn’t care, it still looks cool and shiny.

- Being part bird horse, Ty has some strange habits, from collecting bottle caps or neon gum wrappers and hoarding them to pulling wriggling worms from the ground and eating them like chips. Hey, don’t knock it ‘til you try it!

Relationships:

- Tidal and Scoot’s relationship is complicated. On the one hoof, Ty reminds Scootaloo of her younger, curious self and she wants to encourage that adventurous spirit of his. But he always takes it too far and it causes some tense arguments to arise between the two. It doesn’t help that he kept arriving late for skating class and eventually just bailed out. But besides Ty’s reckless escapades, the two get along swell, often bonding over boarding, swimming, and competitions (particularly petty ones, where the stakes are who washes the dishes).

- Terramar loves his little chick to pieces, but he’s also a worry wart when it comes to his son’s activities. While Scoot is concerned for her son, she’s a bit lientant at times, remembering what it was like to be in his hooves. So it’s up to safety-focused Terramar to keep Ty in check. This, on top of Terramar constantly nagging for Ty to do his chores when he’s obviously busy beating a difficult game level, creates a bit of a gap between them. They aren’t really at odds, but they certainly aren’t close and don’t really bond much. However, them being the only bird-stallions of the family does give them something to connect over. After all, only his Dad get’s how good a fresh cricket on a summer night tastes.

- The skittish and paranoid Hopper is not somepony you’d expect Ty to hang out with. But despite their occasional fights the two get along swimmingly. Ty knows Hopper loves adventure- he’s just too yellow bellied to seek after it, so it’s up to Ty to push Hopper out of his comfort zone once in a while. It’s for his own good. Ty also does his best to build up the colt’s confidence and belief in himself. He’s always got his back and while he does cringe at how lame it is that he cries over a little bump on the head, he’ll still stand there with tissues and mumble something resembling sympathy. Hopper is a good friend to Ty too, always willing to help him with his shenanigans and never tattle-telling on him or the group. A true bro.

- As for Ty’s other friend, Silver, he’s probably the one he connects with the most since Silver is also a hybrid and understands what it’s like to be different. They formed their duo out of that bond, eventually letting in Hopper who was an outcast like them. Silver is more sensible than Ty, but he also enjoys a good scheme and usually helps Ty cook one up. Or, when Ty is about to dive headfirst, Silver will stop him and tell him a better, more rational approach, saving Ty many a nurses’ trip. Silver is also more mature than Ty and can handle Hopper’s emotional moments better than him, which suits Ty perfectly. Although Ty’s immaturity can cause some strife between them, at the end of the day they’re both best bros and that’s all that matters.

First off, no, this is NOT KOP related. My summer classes have put me under a lot of stress and one of the ways I deal with stress is to draw. There's a reason I started the KOP during my senior year of highschool. So to unwind I went back drawing something that never fails to relax me: creating next gen. But I'm not starting a whole new verse or adding to my old one. This is just a one time thing I'm doing for funsies! I decided to make a kid for each of the cmc since I never got to, so here we are. I don't plan on developing them more than their bios (again, its a one time thing), but I hope you guys will still enjoy reading about them.
