Flash Sentry x Clear Skies

This is an illustration of a romantic pairing depicted in the fanfic Twilight’s Reign by James Pwyll on Fimfiction. Twilight’s Reign is a slice-of-life anthology depiction of the early days of Princess Twilight Sparkle’s reign as the Ruler of Equestria following her coronation in Season Nine’s series finale “The Last Problem”. Flash Sentry appears as a reoccurring minor character who serves as Twilight’s Royal Guard and Announcer.

In Chapter 1: The Reign Begins, Flash Sentry is assigned to the post on Princess Cadance’s recommendation, much to Twilight Sparkle’s annoyance and her friends’ laughter. However, Chapter 4: Royal Visit revealed that Flash is already married, much to Twilight’s amusement (“I'm sure we'd both love to hear of this wife of yours, right Cadance?”) and Cadance’s disappointment (“Drat…foiled again.”). For a while, many readers were left wondering who Flash is married to. Some even suspected that Twilight and Flash were pranking Cadance.

It is not until Chapter 16: After a Long Day when Flash Sentry is given the spotlight that it is revealed that he is married to Clear Skies from Season Five’s "Tanks for the Memories". In Chapter 16, Flash and Clear are depicted as a happily married and loving couple living in Cloudsdale. Having reunited after a week apart due to Flash’s duties as a Royal Guard, they decided to take a vacation to Mount Aris. The end of the chapter also reveals that Flash and Clear are expecting their first foal together.
