In an age before alicorns, in an age before princesses, there lived an ancient magical clan. Descendants of the sun itself, they were the former movers of the sun. Rising it, and setting it everyday as a collective group. They were called Sundowns.

Veen Sundown, apart of the great ancient Sundown Clan, used to live in a large village off the coast of eastern parts of Equestria, named 'Cedric'. However, she was sent to Tartarus at an age of 18 due to doing a treacherous act against ponykind. Managing to escape by utilizing a magical sword she stole from a demon, brought down into the underworld.

Severely underestimating the sheer power of the blade she possessed, the blade created a massive portal being a kilometre wide in the sky, causing an uncountable amount of other demons to converge into the portal. Entering it caused her and the other demons to be put into a safe-guard; A stasis put in by Tartarus, delaying their arrival on the earth by nearly 3,000 years.

Now she lives in modern Equestria. Without purpose, without a clan to turn to anymore, she was alone. So she turned to the only thing she could do. Become a demon hunter; trying to fix the issue she had caused in the lands.

A few years pass, and she manages to purge the demon population by nearly 95%, after vigorous work, day after day. The government of Equestria saw this, and her great potential she possessed; Recruiting her not in the guard, but into the 1st Equestrian Special Operations Division as a Military Police.

During her service, she was caught off guard by her enemy, becoming badly injured in the head. Having to make a long recovery which lasted for months; she got right back into service; albeit with a mental deficiency. Luckily, it hadn't inhibited her ability to make decisions as an MP.
