part 4 of "living to tell the undertale" i tried my best to make good handwriting but unfortunately my handwriting sucks
"the ruins?" Strange Quark asked when the creature now known as Toriel paused. "yes, i pass through this place every day to see if anyone has fallen down. you are the first human to fall down here in a long time… and i don't know exactly what you are… are you one of the monsters of the underground? how did you get past the barrier?" Toriel asked confounding Strange Quark. "what do you mean monster? and what barrier?… this place is more than just a cave system isn't it?" Strange Quark said as the human simply shrugged before speaking up "well you are the one who wanted to explore so i guess here we go." thee human said as they both followed Toriel out of the room and into a much nicer looking chamber made of faintly luminous stone bricks that shimmered a purple color. up ahead was two staircases made of smooth gray stone and beneath were piles of leaves but what fascinated Strange Quark most was the glowing yellow orb. as Strange Quark watched it, the orb drew him and the human closer as if by some inexplicable urge. the orb pulsed with a warm golden light that made both Strange Quark and the human feel a comfortable warmth inside like sitting next to a fireplace on a cold winter day. suddenly Strange Quark and the human heard an unfamiliar but strangely calming voice in their heads "the shadow of the ruins looms above, filling you with determination" as the voice faded Strange Quark noticed Toriel walking up the staircase as she smiled sweetly at the two of them before climbing to the top. "you know kid, is it me or does Toriel actually look modestly curvy?" Strange Quark whispered to the human. the human simply shrugged. "well, let's continue onward shall we?" strange Quark said as they both climbed the stairs to enter the next chamber.
