Sweetie Bell and Spike:
Sweetie always had something of a crush on Spike. He was just so sweet and mannerly and a bit of dork but in a cute way and he was always hanging out with Rarity. While his puppy love was obvious to all, Sweetie kept hers hidden pretty well. She just couldn’t tell him while he was still in love with someone else, no matter how unlikely the match was. So she satisfied herself with getting to hang out with him when Rarity was away, and the friendship that resulted from that. When Sweetie moved to Canterlot to attend her singing school she tried to forget about Spike but she just couldn’t, and anytime a handsome stallion asked for a date, she always declined. Spike meanwhile had moved on from his crush on Rarity after Sweetie left. Years passed by, and the dragon became fully focused on his job managing all of Twilight’s royal appointments and ceremonies. One such event took him to Canterlot, and since he heard that Sweetie was performing at the Oprony House a few streets away, he decided to visit his old friend. When he saw Sweetie, now a grown and beautiful mare, singing on stage he was blown away. She looked and sang so maturely! In many ways she reminded him of Rarity, but she had a much more playful smile and an honest manner. He caught up to her just as she was leaving, eager to catch up, as was Sweetie. A few coffee dates and honest talks later and the two were fast in love. After just a few short months, they were engaged. Before marrying, the two moved to a small house in Ponyville. Sweetie wanted to open up a singing school so village foals wouldn’t need to move like she did, and with Spike’s expertise in business and entrepreneurship, he made that happen. Sweetie takes care of teaching the foals their scales, while Spike happily crunches numbers and keeps the business running smoothly. Not long after their career and marriage began, they opened up the third chapter of their lives with their hybrid son, Silver Note.
- It was a normal afternoon, when Sweetie stumbled upon a foal crying by herself, sad she couldn’t fly as high as the rest of her friends. To cheer her up, the filly began singing her a song about one day soaring among the clouds. Not only did it encourage the foal, but the melodic voice drew the attention of her pals as well. Soon, Sweetie had her own little audience, dancing and flying to her song. When she finished, the foals cheered and thanked her, running off humming the tune. After seeing how happy her song had made them, Sweetie felt a deep desire to keep singing and keep making ponies happy. This was her calling, to make ponies happy with her talented singing, and her cutie mark of musical notes surrounding a pearly white smile confirmed that.
Silver Note
“Alright . . . go! Don’t worry Hopper, Ty knows what he’s doing. And on the off chance he impal- uh, hurts himself, I brought Dad’s first aid kit just in case.”
Goes by: Silver, Sil, Silvy, (occasionally “Beast” by snotty-nosed bullies)
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Residence: Ponyville
Occupation: Middle Schooler
Species: Hybrid — Dracony
Body type: Tallest of the three, sturdy body type, weak magic and weak flyer
Bio:
- Silver is Spike and Sweetie’s level headed, charming little boi. He’s well mannered and carries himself with a Canterlot-like gait, even talking with a similar accent. Most ponies find him mature for his age as Silver tends to act older than he is. But he’s still a kid that, underneath his airs and talks about “responsibility”, loves a good rough and tumble or childish game of pretend with his buddies.
- Like his mother, Silver has an exceptionally beautiful baritone voice. However, he sings on very few occasions. His musical passion is with the piano. With his nimble digits, he’s working his way up to becoming the fastest piano player equestria has ever known.
- He has a pony fur coat covered in scaled and a stiff scale-like mane, but besides these pony traits he’s mostly dragon-like. When it comes to breathing fire, he can, but it takes the wind out of him to do so. Spike assures him he just needs to grow a bit more. Silver also penchant for gemstones like Spike, but if he eats more than a few he’ll start feeling sick.
- While Silver’s biology leans heavily on his dragon side, he can perform some semblance of magic from his mother’s genes. Using his dragon horns, he can make them glow, create magical bursts of light, shoot electrical burts, and if he really concentrates, he can levitate objects. Although even then, they usually end up a little burnt from his magic.
- Unlike Ty, Silver does struggle with his dragon form to a certain degree. He noticed from a young age how many foals and even some adults were either hesitant or scared to approach him. He tried to be as cordial and friendly as possible, but that didn’t matter to his peers. Eventually, rumors of him going feral at the full moon like some werewolf wore him down, so that he no longer tries to socialise with anypony besides Ty and Hopper.
- Silver maaaay have a teny, tiny, itsy bitsy crush on Dragon Lordess, Ember. There’s just something about her confident, headstrong leadership mixed with her good nature that makes his heart skip a beat. He always gets a little shy around her and is very easily flustered when she compliments on his fire bursts or gives him a rough noogie. And yes, Ty teases him about it all the time.
Relationships:
- Silver is a total moma’s boy. He loves being coddled and fussed over by her, though in public he’ll protest her attempts to baby him. He’s too old to be given boo-boo kisses. But . . . you know . . . maybe a hug would be nice. And maybe a juice box. He cherishes the nights when she comes home in time to sing while he plays the tune on his piano. She tells him her stories of singing to thousands and meeting important musicians before bed, and always encourages him to follow his passion, cutie mark or no cutie mark. All Silver wants to do is make his mother dearest proud, even though Sweetie repeatedly assures him that he already has. The two are as close as two can be, save for the fact that Silver hides his insecurities from her and never lets on when he’s being bullied. He fears his sweet mom would blame herself, and he won’t allow that.
- Spike isn’t as close to Silver as sweetie, but the two do have a strong bond. While Sweetie is Silver’s comforter, Spike is his rock. Any trouble he has, whether it’s bullies or problems mastering his flying and fire-breathing, Spike is the one he turns to. Spike knows what it’s like to be a dragon in a pony world, and he’s a great source of help for his son. The two also bond over a mutual love of board games, comic books, and precious gem snacks. Silver also loves how his dad is famous in the crystal empire- the one place where ponies respect and even admire him and his father. Maybe he’ll move there one day . . .
- Ty is Silver’s closest friend as well as his first friend. The two always felt a connection due to their hybrid status, but in middle school it caused them to grow even closer, seeing how their classmates ostracised them. It was Silver’s idea to start a “blank flank” club, and Ty readily agreed it was the coolest idea since skateboards. They hang out all the time after school, either playing games and reading comics, or following some hair brained scheme Ty cooked up. Silver likes to act mature around adults, but with Ty, he’s more loose and impulsive. He keeps Ty in check to a degree, but at the end of the day, he’ll be with Ty as the hippogriff takes some 50ft dive straight down a cliff with a camera and a first aid kit- just in case.
- Hopper is the newer addition to their group, and both Silver and Ty didn’t really know the colt much before he joined their club. Hopper was too shy to hang out with them at first, but he quickly warmed up to Silver. The dragon colt on the other hoof was more than happy to take this skittish colt under his wing, literally and metaphorically. He’s very protective of Hopper and tries his best to make sure the colt feels safe and relaxed when they hang out. He’s often the one to help Hopper through one of his panic attacks or go first into the dark cave to assure him it’s completely safe. He’s sensitive to Hopper, unlike Ty, who means well but isn’t into all that mushy stuff. To Silver, Hopper is the little brother he never had.
First off, no, this is NOT KOP related. My summer classes have put me under a lot of stress and one of the ways I deal with stress is to draw. There's a reason I started the KOP during my senior year of highschool. So to unwind I went back drawing something that never fails to relax me: creating next gen. But I'm not starting a whole new verse or adding to my old one. This is just a one time thing I'm doing for funsies! I decided to make a kid for each of the cmc since I never got to, so here we are. I don't plan on developing them more than their bios (again, its a one time thing), but I hope you guys will still enjoy reading about them.
