Theme was to draw a pony fighting an enemy/boss.

As usual I had many ideas — most prevalent were Rainbow Dash facing Zero from Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Twilight looking up the information on a confronted Dragon Warrior/Quest slime in a bestiary. I might do those, in some form, eventually. When thinking of the latter, I kept having in my head the idea of Spike doing something in the picture, and quickly realized how funny he'd look with a koopa shell strapped to him. Then the image you see before you formed in my mind and I proceeded to draw it.

It's still a long time and a lot of practice before I truly perfect drawing even a pony, and there's a lot more I could have done as far as such concepts still difficult to me as shading and lighting (though not much without messing with the NES Mario Bros. 3 feel), but all that said, I can still tell I'm improving. If only I can convince myself to draw more, learn more, go through my art books more in between these pieces, and start finishing them up much earlier in the week, I know I'll go far and be able to draw some truly great things. But for now, this is passable.

And Apple Bloom is probably more powerful than Celestia now, nothing can stop the goomba's shoe.
