Today’s prompt: Draw a pony following their dreams / Draw a pony feeling defeated.

This is my first time elaborating on Pecan’s lore a bit. All I’d had in her profile was that her pearl necklace is an heirloom of her mother’s, and she doesn’t like talking about her father. I decided her mother would have encouraged her love of baking, being a pony who worked with sweets herself, and that even though she’s gone and Pecan and her father aren’t on speaking terms, Pecan still has the loving memories of her mother to inspire her to pursue her dreams, as well as the love and support of the ponies in her life.

Of course, that includes Blaze, and his lending a listening ear to her, as well as words of encouragement, seems to have brought the two ponies closer than before. =)
