really went out of my comfort zone on this one, forced myself to draw a difficult angle and do more dramatic shading. spent a ton of time trying to figure out how the shadows would be cast from the light source, and what colours to use while shading. a lot of it was just trial and error and then sticking with what looked fine to me, i really had no idea what i was doing with the shading tbh. But i had a lot of fun and i learned to use some textured brushes to add a bit of detail. also narrowing down on what kind of eye shapes i like to use. i initially wanted to do a full background and environment (i sketched and coloured her bed and bedroom) but then i realised i didn't know how to draw properly in perspective and it looked really bad so i scrapped the entire thing and just went back to the good old void. i'll probably have to start doing perspective studies soon if i don't want to keep doing plain backgrounds.
