While fighting with Vegito and loosing quite badly, Princess Twilight had just finished building a new device of her own creation.
It's purpose was to transport objects (or living beings) between dimensions. It was never tested before and so she gave it it's first try out. She expected to transport a small apple to another dimension and immediately transport it back safely, but the problem was, she didn't know where it would appear.

While fighting in mid air, the apple suddenly appeared between Buu and Vegito, surprised the two of them stopped fighting right away. As the apple fell a flash of light appeared in where it was transported to and sucked the two fighters in. The machine had mistaken the two for the apple and transported them back into Twilight's lab. Surprisingly not only where they transported buy they both were physically transformed into ponies.

Now comes the fun in the adventure of Buu's life as a pony in equestria while being carefully watched over by Vegito, the mane 6 and the princesses, living a day to day life as an equestrian while waiting for Twilight to fix her device to send both Buu and Vegito back to their world.
