Magma dragged Sharp by the tail through the cave entrance way, Spike followed, curious as to what fate befell his dragon ridge guide. The cave itself wasnt so much a cave, as it was a tunnel that opened up into what Spike thought was a large open air crater in the mountain. He saw Magma fling Sharp towards the large gathering of boulders along the wall of the crater.
"Alright get to smashing," he instructed to Sharp, "Im expecting every single one of those gems to be compensated. Or else." Magma added that last bit as motivation. "And as for you," Magma turned his attention to Spike, "I believe proper introductions are in order, the names Magma and this is my quarry," gesturing to the large crater filled with varying sizes of boulders, no doubt dug from the mountains themselves.
"Spike, nice to meet cha!" Spike responded cheerfully, I didnt think that there would be other dragons in the ridge, what with what Sharps told me.
"Well thats because Sharp, here, is a habitual liar and a thief," Magma stated rather bluntly. "Learned the hard way myself. He came by a few days ago, said he was running away from the dangers of the disappearing dragons, asked if he could stay for a bit, have a few gems to eat. I said fine in exchange he had to help harvest the gems himself, Im not running a charity here. So I lent him a handful to feed himself, so he could have the energy to work to pay me back. That sounds fair right? Magma asked.
"Sounds like a fair trade to me." Spike answered.
"Then the thief just up and takes off when Im not looking, leaving me with less gems in my stash, and more work to do." Magma continued.
"Oh," Spike said in understanding hands behind his head, "so thats why you jumped Sharp back there, and why Sharp was trying to avoid you."
"I was in a hurry, and its wasnt that many gems," Sharp muttered under his breath as he tried to use one rock to split another rock, looking for gems inside. "Im not even all that good at finding gems."
