In the story, taking place some years in the future in Manehattan, Weevil, Echo and their family are amongst hundreds of thousands of migrants, be they changeling, zebra, Dog, etc, have moved to Equestria seeking a better life there than peasant life in the Changeling Kingdom. They are living in Six Points, a deprived and increasingly multi-species district in Lower Manehattan, where they know own a store and are raising their children, including their firstborn, Shroud and their newly hatched filly grub. In Six Points, they have family, including Weevil's cousin, Scarab, and many friends and acquaintances. Life isn't the easiest in Six Points, but they're managing, as shown here where they are having a family stroll (albeit Echo is yelling at Weevil for the uptenth time that day).
