Hey all, remember me?

Well, ever since I moved from California back to Florida the art on this account has been spotty, I know. I've been doing other stuff with not much occurring to me as worth finishing up as a full picture for the pony online world. Similarly, the pony community has been very quiet lately, so the things I did post were met with a less than enthusiastic response.

However, I LOVED the Season 4 premiere. I'm already a major Princess nerd, so those episodes struck just the right chord with me, unlike the somewhat disheartening Season 3 finale (I did really like Equestria Girls however). I'm also seeing increased activity on this account so others must be feeling the same way, and so thankfully I'd had this picture in the pipeline for about a week. Thanksgiving week is not conductive to work/life balance if you are in retail, which is why this took so long to finish.

For this picture I tried a few new things. I used ink to dye the background paper the correct color, instead of trying to accomplish the same thing with paint. This worked so well it may become my new technique, as the ink went down evenly and dried quickly. I then painted the clouds on top of the image in layers , from darkest to lightest, in acrylic paint.

Poor Twixie…. even when they're in love they can't get along! :D
