Outside the moon was being lowered to make way for early morning. Yet the sun did not rise. Princess Celestia slept in her bedchambers. She was awoken by an urgent surge in her horn.

The alicorn sat up in her bed but was held back by an eagles claw. She was pulled down into the sheets and next to a sleeping draconequus. She tried to wriggle out of his grasp but he held onto her tightly.

DiscordI have to get up Celestia protested. She looked at the clock at the opposite side of the room which she had in case she should ever sleep in. Celestia, being the pony that raised the sun, and at one point the moon as well, hardly ever slept in.

Discord pulled her back, this time with his lion paw as well. Ohstay with meplease, he said in a very tired voice.

He pulled Celestias face close his and kissed her long neck. Celestias undone mane looked as though it were suffocating him form an outsiders perspective. The way Discord spoke was unlike anything he usually said, especially to her.

My dear princess, my sun goddess, he said, I beg you not to leave.

In between his sentences he would kiss her repeatedly. Sun goddess? Discord never used the word princess favorably, much less refer to her as his sun goddess. Celestia, blushing, answered, Ill only raise the sunIll be right back

Discord responded with a grumbled no. I can hardly bare being without you. I love you, I adore you

Celestia managed to free her wings from Discords grasp, which she used to hide her red face. She was flattered to hear Discord of all people saying this to her. However, she was not about to let her emotions blind her. After all, what truly made her giggle like a school filly wasnt what he said as much as how he said it.

Feeling sentimental today? she asked, kissing his cheek.

Discord took a minute to respond. Im tired.

Discord, still smothering his face in Celestias mane replied, I like having someone to hold onto

So in other words, you like to cuddle? she said almost tauntingly.

Discord stopped smothering her and let go. Celestia flipped over and landed on her hooves beside the bed. The surges in her horn began to hurt her. She quickly reached for her shoes, crown and brace.

Before she could teleport away, Discord grabbed her by the tail. Dont you ever tell anypony I said thosethings. Understand?

Celestia grinned. Thinking of one of Twilights friends she said, Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.
