"Ugh."

Twilight groggily sat up in bed, rubbing sleep out of her eyes. She looked out her window and saw Fluttershy down below.

Her pegasus friend leaped into the air, speeding towards the window. "Twilight! Get up!"

Twilight pushed the window open, feeling the warm waft of a midsummer's night, coupled with the smell of wet grass and lush trees. "Fluttershy? What's going on? Is something wrong?"

She had never known her friend to be so agitated, so bold as to wake her in the middle of the night, though the terror in Fluttershy's eyes spoke volumes.
"The creek! It's frozen! And there's a big icy egg in the middle of it!"
