"This post will be long, but I feel that there is much to be said.
The origins of this amazing gift go back a full year into 2012. /u/RainbowCrash had gotten my name in a Secret Santa exchange and took it upon himself to begin work on one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever gotten.
This painting is a stencil piece of the mane six made by /u/Mutki, /u/Dorigard, /u/Mittens2248, and /u/MouseHolidays. A while back I used to make a ton of stencil art for the subreddit and I had the pleasure of working with all 4 of these guys on various giveaways, shop talks, and tutorials for stencil art on the subreddit. Three of them were inspired to learn stencil painting after seeing some of my early artwork, and we all learned a great deal working with each other.
The canvas was passed around the country to each person who worked on different parts of the piece before sending it to me.
I cannot thank each of the artists and Crash enough for the time and thought that went into the making of this gift. It has reminded me so much of all the time that I put into painting, running giveaways, and teaching others. It really made me feel like part of the community when I was trying to find my niche. You guys were what helped me stick around for so long.
This painting is a perfect example of the generosity and thoughtfulness of the community. It has provided me with so much. I have made so many friends over the last 3 years. I continue to be amazed by how much this group of people has changed my life for the better.
Thanks guys, really. I can't do this justice. Y'all are the best.
