A wonderful, funny scene from Chapter 12, part 2 of my Invader Zim cartoon crossover story Earthworm Zim. :)

It's the scene where Rarity finally finishes the red dress Twilight requested so she could wear it in hopes of winning Almighty Tallest Red's heart and that he'll fall in love with her.

Obviously, many guys would fall in love with that unicorn. :XD:

I really did like Twilight's dress in that Galloping Gala episode, and it was a little inspiration to this red dress I imagined.

Red really looks good on her, doesn't it? ;)


"Hey, Milo," Spike greeted as he saw the familiar beta fish walk into Ponyville. "What's up?"

"Nothing but the sky," Milo joked, taking a quick breather from his water suit. "You up for tonight?"

"Man, dinner at Brian and Rita's is always the best," Spike said happily.

"Cool," Milo nodded as he looked around. "So, uh, where's Twilight?" Twilight had called him earlier and begged him to come over to Ponyville. How could Milo refuse to someone like Twilight? However, he was sure he might not like it…

As if on cue, the doors of Rarity's boutique swung open…

…and there stood Twilight.

Milo's jaw dropped open.

Twilight smiled sweetly to herself as she gracefully walked out of the boutique, wearing the dress Rarity finally finished for her. It was red, just like Twilight wanted, with bits of silver and glittering black jewels along the skirt edges. There were a few silver stars visible along the end of the dress as Twilight swished her tail around. Along with the dress, Twilight wore matching red hoof-shoes with silver crusting, as well as a silver necklace with a red star in the middle.

She looked amazing…breathtaking…beautiful…

Spike stood beside Milo, taking in the sight of Twilight as she walked for all of Ponyville to see.

And every pony did see as they gathered around the streets to witness Twilight in her gorgeous outfit. Twilight really did look good in red…

"My best work yet," Rarity said proudly.

"Wow…" Rarity turned to see a few male ponies gazing at her. "So…beautiful and graceful…"

"Why, thank you, gentlemen," Rarity giggled, flipping her mane. "I simply look darling, don't I, darling?"

The male pony raised an eyebrow at her. "Uh, I was talking about Twilight." And Rarity realized he was looking past her, at Twilight.

Rarity's eyes widened. Then she averted her eyes. "Oh…oh, of course. Of course Twilight looks darling, of course…"

"Hello, Milo," Twilight greeted as she spotted him in the crowd. "I'm so glad you're here!"

"Uh, hey…" Milo greeted quietly, trying to blink as he was mesmerized by her appearance.

"What do you think?" Twilight giggled as she twirled around. "Isn't the color simply beautiful?"

"Yeah…" Milo smiled. "You were right about red all along…"

"Oh, red…" Twilight sighed as she flipped her mane. "Red, red, red…"

"Is she ever going to stop mentioning that name?" Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes.

"Hey, Twi," Applejack called, "remember about tonight?"

"The dinner!" Twilight gasped. Then she looked down at her dress…then the largest of smiles formed on her lips.

"Twilight?" Spike spoke.

"That's it!" Twilight exclaimed. "I'll wear my new dress to the dinner tonight!" She hugged herself. "I'll show myself to Red!"

"What?" Milo and Spike cried.

But Twilight went on. "I've finally found a book on how to do manes…and I think I might need to powder my nose…oh, and I might need to polish these shoes a bit more…"

As the violet-pony went on, Milo fell to his knees, his lip quivering. "Why can't she just say she loves him and I go on with my hopeless life?" Milo cried to himself.


I decided to add that cute little thought bubble up there so you guys could finally look into Twilight's head in this romantic, lovestruck thought she has whenever she thinks of Tallest Red.

He'll be mesmerized by my beauty…and our eyes will meet…our hearts will melt…our lips just inches away…

She's beautiful, isn't she? :)
