For a Ex-Stable-Dweller, a life in the wasteland isn't quite what they desire, a house in the safer settlements suits much better. When the caps need to be earned though, there are some jobs which pay well enough to allow a pony to coast between them, like certain high-value contracts. One of which is about to be fufilled.
And yes, that is a Ministry of Peace cloak she's wearing, it provides variety from all the sensible equipment.
