"So, quick backstory. I was drawing a larger pic involving Shining Armor during a livestream. We started talking about the saddle thingy on his back. Somehow we came to the idea that its now ceremonial/traditional, but it used to be functional and a part of their normal duties to carry the princesses. Luna, of course, wouldnt know about those changes. So yeah that idea spawned this."
