Parcly Taxel: With regards to history Brisbane is rather normal, growing at first on the banks of a river which in this case lent its name to the city. Much of the northern bank is filled with skyscrapers; the South Bank is more relaxing and packs an artificial beach as part of its Parklands. That wasn't important to me then, though, as I'd be heading for the Gold Coast the next day. I had a crazier idea: ferry ponies across the Brisbane River as a kelpie taxi. After all, since a kelpie's coat is sticky when she sees water it makes for a great saddle, doesn't it? Brismane: And yes, I am the pony riding on Parcly's back here. Simply put, I am the city ponified.
