Dont worry man, he said with a full mouth, Ill repay you, Im good at finding gems. He looked to Sharp to see if he could back him up with that statement. He was the group expert gem sniffer. Though he saw Sharp shuffle slightly away from him, and Barius looked horrified. Was that gem important or something?

Urk. Snort hunched over as a sharp pain lanced his stomach as he swallowed.

He gave a mighty belch, which came out a bright yellow. It didnt normally do that. It also had arcs of lightning scattered within it. It definitely didnt do that. He dry coughed a bit, as the lightning still tingled his mouth, What the hell kind of gemstone is that?! Snort yelled. It was nothing like the gems he normally ate.

Wow! I didnt think it would gain sparking properties.

Sparking!? Snort asked, still shocked.

Barius ignored him, instead getting excited, Oh man, this is going to take some testing. Barius grabbed another scroll and started writing out what seemed like a list of gems and a blank space next to them.

Snort calmed down a bit as the pain left and his stomach returned to normal. So youre not mad at me eating your special gem? Snort asked tentatively.

Are you crazy, youve opened a new door to this mystery.

Barius continued, If I can figure out which stones give which attributes, I can un-code what these books were talking about. Theyre unicorn spell books, but they talk about enchanting, but not a lot is documented. I just might be able to figure out another part of it with your help.
